I never did show the step flashing details for the DaVinci roof. You’ll see there are 2 grooves in the step flashing as a double precaution to keep the water against the wall and direct it to the kickout or valley flashing. I got the flashing directly from DaVinci with my roof package, if you choose to make it yourself, you can use a brake buddy on the brake, or make a 1/4” bend.
