An American Dipper forages for food in a creek. North America's only Aquatic Songbird, the American Dipper spends it's time near fast flowing streams. They feed mainly on insects, crustaceans, small fish and fish eggs. Also, it has a transparent eyelid to help protect it's eyes underwater while it forages.
